right knee nearly locked, leg extended with foot standing on bicycle pedal, left knee cocked, gliding down the slope, skirt hem fluttering from the speed in the breeze

you have to accept yourself as you are right now, you as you, no exceptions, you have to love that person immediately, sans disclaimers and qualifications pending future revisions and desired improvements.

wind picks up, sure sound of wheels rolling and spokes spinning. river's to the left, its glass coating reflecting the warm peach glow. sky is spanned

there is no such thing as a cure-all.

the air's at seventy. it feels cool. lick lips, lock elbows and tilt chin up while coasting.

you should be prepared to be alone for the rest of your life. maybe it won't happen like that, but it's good to be ready for it in case it does, and it's good not to fear it.
don't be afraid of being on your own. even if it means for the rest of it all.

being okay with being alone. this may be a battle for the ages.
