dew

The star-speckled sky
admires our zest
and the breezes are relishing
their touch upon our bare skin.
naked feet brush the wet grass
and we're watching the beams
of lightning suprass the horizon.
raindrops sprinkle my shoulders
as i watch the blazing clouds
illuminate.
your arms are open and upward,
while i hold myself in mine.
but both our chins are raised
and we are well-received by nature.
before there's time for me to wonder
how poetical i can be about it,
we're dashing through the fields.
i leap to the clash of thunder
and the evening air
is streaked with my skin.
we'll stay till droplets cease
and the cold consumes us
rather than the opposite.
