It is a lesson I must return to time and time again; it is an inexorable state of my world that always seems to elude me.
I must press on alone,
I must be my own savior.
It is I who must conquer and transcend the mundane, the somber, and the indulgent despair, and I must do so without the aid of some idealized version of the latest person within whom I seek some hope.
It is me, and me alone.
