"timely truth"

Lawrence Park and contemplation have created the following. Happy rest of the week, find and live joy.

She looks down at the spot where they once were.
imagine all the realities of this place, during all the different times, coming together.
someone launching in folf would step
close to their bodies stretched out on the grass.
a dog might trot over,
and a child running with its small legs
in short steps
as it tries to catch an aloof runaway balloon.
she would be there too, as she was in this moment,
peering down at the place.
if all time were crinkled
like a discarded ball of paper from an unsatisfactory written work
places on such a sheet never to touch
are bound together in the crunch.
and that cliched sky up there
shifting, everything at once
as the ceilings would all collide in a placid clash
cloud, star, snow, sun, wind, fog, stillness, rain.
the grass is usually alike.
it grows upward and bright, naturally defying gravity.
and it all pans as the perspective turns.
he is looking steadfast into hers, which look back
softly connected hands
as the disk is released
the dog sniffs itself away
and the child cannot grip the rising string.
they are warm together.
she looks down (so up) upon it.
if the times were to blend
into a dense existence
smoldering emotions overtaken
within would be truth.
and that's the best place for it to be.
