she told us one of the six traits (seven?) of high effective people is related to pretending you can look down on yourself from the upper corner of the room and see how you are acting outside of yourself. i'm almost afraid to do that.
i got an A in english, a buff one at that. i maintained what i have maintained since i began, all the same stupid (smart, really) letters on that sheet. and yes, i feel good about myself because of it.
talk about condescending, listen to yourself.
words speak in a voice, a tone, perhaps that is the derivation. descend, to lower, literally. from above, to lessen itself downward. or think so. ugh.
this all calls for a severe humbling.
