grin and berra it

i want to give out some Yogi Berra quotes. this man coined the axiom "it ain't over 'till it's over", but i think he's done better.

"This is like deja vu all over again."
"You can observe a lot just by watching."
"You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you're going, because you might not get there."
"I knew I was going to take the wrong train, so I left early."
"If you don't know where you are going, you will wind up somewhere else."
"If you can't imitate him, don't copy him."
"You better cut the pizza in four pieces because I'm not hungry enough to eat six."
"It was impossible to get a conversation going; everybody was talking too much."
"Nobody goes there anymore; it's too crowded."
"Do you mean now?" (when asked for the time
"If you come to a fork in the road, take it."
"I made a wrong mistake."
"Thanks, you don't look so hot yourself." (After being told he looked cool.)
"Why buy good luggage? You only use it when you travel."
"He can run anytime he wants. I'm giving him the red light."
"It ain't the heat; it's the humility."
"You should always go to other people's funerals; otherwise, they won't come to yours."
"Even Napoleon had his Watergate."
"I'm not going to buy my kids an encyclopedia. Let them walk to school like I did."
"In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is."
"The future ain't what it used to be."
"I just want to thank everyone who made this day necessary."
"Take it with a grin of salt."

this is past midnight speaking to you. that means tomorrow is the fourth. amy is soft and willing. robby has beautiful eyes. i am my hopeful self. i love petie, she's my favorite person right now. that's saying a lot. but i'm glad i'm not my own favorite person. it's good for it to be someone else. it will shift again, it always does. yeah, this is past midnight speaking.
we could all use a little more yogi berra in our lives. it ain't over till it's over. here's a few last exhausted, delirious musings

life is a metaphor.
life is a tapestry, interwoven circumstances, occurences and events, people and places-all the whos whats wheres whys (whies?) whens that comprise our existence,
fabric connected with the threads continuing to weave their way through it all.
different patterns of the strings as they swiftly web together in a grand culmination,
the varying shapes and textures as the loom continues...
this cloth is so precious.
